The company, predominantly, produces Biodiesel. Biodiesel is a purely ecological, renewable and sustainable fuel whose use was officially launched after the Kyoto treaty was signed with the initial aim of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Europe has tried to go all this one step further by giving an alternative in agricultural production in connection with an attempt to get reduce the dependence of imported fossil fuels.
In recent years, the company has managed to keep its production purely from Hellenic feedstock, using oilseeds of sunflower, oilseed rape and soybeans, coming entirely from contractual farming with Hellenic producers. A large part of its production is based on Hellenic cottonseed and used vegetable oils and fats.
Vegetable raw glycerin is a by-product of Biodiesel production where the company is marketed and exported to several countries around the world.
In recent years, with the rapid growth of its network of contractual farming, the company has a large activity in the production and supply of animal feed which is the by-product of the processing of oilseeds of contractual farming. The specific activity of the company as well as the entire’s sector assists the most in Hellenic livestock farming but in the export activity of the country as the part of the feed which is not available to the Greek breeder is exported. The above two ways of trading have a result the reduction the trade deficit of the country.
